Medium shot, dark studio. A calligraphy artist sits at a lit table. She dips a large brush and begins writing a Chinese character on white paper. The camera pushes slowly in. As the brush moves, the ink trails begin to glow — deep red and gold. The strokes lift fractionally off the paper, hovering with a faint luminescence. When the final stroke completes, all the strokes glow at once, then settle back to ordinary ink. She lifts the brush, pauses, and examines the character. No music. Only the sound of the brush on paper.
